Security is increasingly coming into our lives, Magicard ID Card Printers. Most of the ID Printers come with the Holo Kote and Holo Patch security features. A fuller explaination of these features follow.

Protect your card against forgery with the Magicards unique HoloKote watermark pattern which is frosted in the overcoat of the card across its entire faceduring the printing processforyour convenience. Each printer is supplied with either one or two overcoat security logos already programmed into its memory during manufacture.

Unlike most other security features the standard HoloKote pattern costs absolutely nothing to use. No extra investment cost, no extra consumables to buy, and no extra time or significant complexity of use. However by using the Customer Key feature (mentioned below) you are able to use unique patterns such as your companies logo in this system.

The Magicard Rio, and Tango printers are all equipped with this patented process.

HoloKote Sample

While HoloKote can protect all kinds of cards from tampering and forgery, the nature of the watermark image means that arms-length inspection is required to check that the frosted security logo is intact. HoloPatch involves the use of special card stock which features a square gold "super diffuser" patch which is used to highlight one of the 24 separate HoloKote logos which cover the front of the card. HoloKote with HoloPatch has a similar appearance to credit card hologram seals.

This feature isincorporated into all new Rio and Tango generation printers and can be selected via the driver when required.

With the Tango series of ID Printers you can customise the logo that prints on the Gold patch of the card using the Custom Key feature.
